The experienced dance educators in this Association offer thorough, conscientious training of all types of dance. Aware of the value of dance training, our purpose is to offer the finest instruction to our students. We sponsor conventions with guest faculty of national reputation, providing instructors and students contact with current choreography, teaching methods, and artistic presentation.

Members of ODTA adopted a code of ethics over 40 years ago. Included in this code are the following agreements:
"It shall be the obligation of a member to encourage students and the public to recognize quality education in dance, and strive to make this knowledge obtainable."
"A member shall refrain from making false or exaggerated statements or claims to past fame or affiliations."
"It is against the association's acceptable form of advertising to advertise the studio as the agent, or medium, through which the student will be employed for television or professional work, unless such studio has a bona fide agent or manager connected to the studio."
These are just an example of the code to which all members agree to adhere. While business and dance styles have changed over the past 40 years, it is still important for members to be truthful and ethical so that the public feels safe when working with studios affiliated with the Omaha Dance Teachers Association.
